Iron Mountain was originally conceived as an archiving company, providing secure storage and destruction of physical data assets such as paper, microfilm and audio recordings. The company has been technologically innovating and expanding since the 1980’s, and is now actively pivoting away from “paper-based” services to a data and cloud services play. The company’s future growth will be driven by digitising clients’ data assets, and providing secure storage and access to these.

These services will be provided by a new business unit – Iron Mountain Global Digital Solutions, which is aggressively expanding its market presence around EMEA – and worldwide.

  • Reports to Commercial Director

  • Location is flexible

  • Colleagues: Country General Manager/Field Sales Representatives/Pre-Sales Teams/Solution Architects/Marketing & Product Teams

Key activities

  • “Hunter”. Drives profitable business through acquiring new opportunities & accounts.

  • Ability to assess and identify customers’ current and potential needs – and to develop & position the offering to meet these.

  • Scoping, pricing, creating proposals & statements of work - & closing the client on these.

  • Become a subject-matter expert in digital solutions through active networking within relevant markets, industries and professional associations.

Qualifiers

  • Experienced sales professional, with a background in solution sales. Ideally from an area like:

    • Managed business services

    • Business process outsourcing

    • Document Management Systems

    • Cloud-based solutions

    • Enterprise software

  • Demonstrable track-record of success in areas such as:

    • New client acquisition

    • Solution selling

    • Strategic commercial planning & execution

    • Developing & positioning solutions to meet customer requirements

    • Leading successful tenders

  • Excellent communication,  negotiation & influencing skills

  • Relationship builder

  • Skillful at analysis & business planning

  • Strategic mindset with “helicopter view”

  • Fast learner who enjoys engaging with new concepts

  • Confident & effective working with stakeholders at all levels (including C-Suite) both internally and externally.
